The difference between this promise and the conditions of new age which soaked in great threats like fascism, Nazism and instrumentalist capitalism, faced them with a great problem; a problem for which each generation of its theoreticians tried to provide a precise analysis of the deviation and a solution for it. Although there are various interpretations about analysis and solutions provided by the school but in this article, we try to deal with problem analysis and solution by using internal logic approach to the evolutionary trend of it, and by providing our new interpretation, we examine this question: What are the foundations and requirements of Frankfurt School for analyzing the problem of enlightenment? Our temporary answer is the hypothesis that claims the social consequences of limited knowledge yielded from enlightenment reason, i.e. positivism, has been the fundamental factor of forming these foundations and requirements. مکتب فرانکفورت از بزرگان دریافته که بنا بوده عصر جدید(روشنگری)، عصری همراه با آزادی و قدرت اراده انسانی و رهایی بخشی از سنت‌های اعصار گذشته باشد. عصری همراه با جرأت پرسیدن و دانستن. تفاوت میان این وعده و وضعیت عصر جدید که به ورطه خطرات بزرگی چون فاشیسم، نازیسم، سرمایه‌داری همراه با تقدس ابزارگرایی افتاده بود، مسئله عظیمی را در مقابل آن‌ها قرارداد. مسئله‌ای که هر نسل از نظریه‌پردازانش تا زمان حال تلاش دارند ضمن تحلیل دقیق از این انحراف به ارائه راه‌حلی در مقابل آن برسند. هرچند تفسیرهای متفاوتی از نگاه تحلیلی و راه‌حل مطرح‌شده توسط این مکتب موجود است ولی در این مقاله تلاش داریم تا با بهره‌گیری از رهیافت منطق درونی به روند تکوینی آنچه تحلیل مسئله و ارائه راه‌حل مکتب فرانکفورت بوده بپردازیم و ضمن ارائه تفسیر جدید خود به این سؤال بپردازیم که مبانی و استلزامات تحلیل راه‌حل این مکتب در مورد مسئله روشنگری را چه عوامل شکل داده است؟ پاسخ موقت ما در قالب فرضیه این است که پیامدهای اجتماعی آنچه محدودیت معرفت برآمده از عقل روشنگری یعنی پوزیتویسم خوانده می‌شود عامل اساسی شکل‌دهی به این مبانی و استلزامات بوده است.
