The purpose of the paper is to identify the diversity of studies related to Iran's political development. The research method is systematic review, and the statistical population of the research is all the books related to the political development of Iran being printed after the Islamic Revolution, the number of which is amounted 145 in this study. The findings showed that almost over half of the books were published between 1997 and 2006, and political deterioration or degeneration of Iran was discussed in 76.6% of those books. Most of the books have been written with modernization and democratization approach, and an empirical-historical method has been used in a significant portion of the books. According to about 30% of the books, the main factors of being politically underdeveloped are authoritarianism, political culture elements, and the gap between traditionalism and modernism. Although these studies did not follow the western classical patterns of specimens, instead tried to localize political-social science in Iran, this has led to the plurality and diversity of views and the lack of a clear picture of Iran's political development. Therefore, one of the most important factors is the diversity of experts’ views in this regard. در این مقاله به گونه‌شناسی مطالعات توسعه سیاسی ایران پرداخته شده است. هدف تحقیق شناسایی تنوع مطالعات مرتبط با توسعه سیاسی ایران، روش آن مرور نظام‌مند و جامعه آماری آن تمام کتاب‌های مرتبط با توسعه سیاسی ایران پس از انقلاب اسلامی است که تعداد آن در این پژوهش به 145 مورد رسیده است. براساس یافته‌های تحقیق تقریباً بیش از نیمی از کتاب‌ها در سال‌های 1376 تا 1385 منتشر شده‌اند و در 6/76درصد کتاب‌ها، عوامل زوال یا انحطاط سیاسی ایران مورد بحث بوده است. رهیافت بیشتر کتاب‌ها مدرنیزاسیون و دموکراتیزاسیون بوده و در بخش قابل توجهی از کتاب‌ها، از روش تاریخی ـ تجربی استفاده شده است. تقریباً در 30درصد از کتاب‌ها عامل اصلی توسعه نیافتگی سیاسی ایران، استبداد و اقتدارگرایی، مؤلفه‌های فرهنگ سیاسی و شکاف بین سنت‌گرایی و تجددطلبی عنوان شده است. گرچه در این مطالعات از الگوبرداری محض از نمونه‌های کلاسیک غربی پرهیز و به بومی‌سازی علوم سیاسی ـ اجتماعی ایران پرداخته شده، ولی این امر خود به کثرت و تنوع دیدگاه‌ها و نبود تصویری روشن از توسعه سیاسی ایران انجامیده است و لذا یکی از مهم‌ترین عوامل تنوع دیدگاه‌های صاحبنظران در این زمینه است. http://www.ipsajournal.ir/article_353_138bb0696595b338afbab333c555292a.pdf
