Abstract
Purpose: The current article tries to find the relationship of this front with the two discourses of independence and freedom by studying the positions of the Fourth National Front in order to determine the extent of the adherence of the Fourth National Front to these two ideals with regard to the process of political events and the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Method: To conduct this research, discourse analysis method with Saussure's semiotics approach is used, and the data collection method is library.

Findings: The National Front of Iran was a political movement that, since its establishment in 1328, defined the two topics of independence and freedom as its important intellectual and practical foundations and put them on the agenda in its political campaigns. They, who emphasized these two issues as the most important goals of their campaign in the charter of the National Front, showed this emphasis in practice during the first to fourth fronts at different times.
Conclusion: The results of the article show that the fourth national front, like the first to third national fronts, during its lifetime, regardless of its relationship with the government of the time; Both in the period before the victory of the Islamic revolution and in the period after it, which itself is divided into two initial periods of short-term association with the revolutionary government and then separation and disagreement with it, at least in the discourse, adherence to the desire for independence and freedom ‌ has made it representative
