The left movement in Iran has been developed in line with global developments. In Iran, Specifically, after the changes caused by the collapse of communism and the introduction of deeper critical interactions on the concerns of Marxism and leftists in matters such as hegemony, the criticism of the totality of cultural relations and the contemporary lifeworld, the New Left has reconsidered some of its concepts and formulated a new has presented in this field. One of the most important evidences of this trend has been the use of critical theory in general and the opinions of Frankfurt School thinkers in particular. Among this school of thought, Jürgen Habermas' opinions have gained special importance. In this article, by emphasizing the new left movement and especially its leading representative, Murad Farhadpour, an attempt has been made to answer the question, what were the conditions of the tendency and also the distance and even the transition of the new left movement in Iran from Habermas? In response, using Quintin Skinner's intentionalist hermeneutics, we believe that the New Left movement in the late period in Iran is aligned with similar trends in world, in addition to using Habermas's critical perspective, due to the emergence of deeper issues and challenges in the discussion of domination and deepening it with a kind of transition from Habermas's intellectual project is oriented towards more radical critical views emanating from the left movement and has always considered a social project whether approaching Habermas or distancing himself from his opinions.
